About me

I’m passionate about STEM, especially math, biology and computer science. I passed the AP Calculus AB exam in 2023 as an eighth grader. The major ideas of Calculus are limits, derivatives, and integrals, which are easy to grasp conceptually, but the hardest part of this course is how to apply all the algebra skills I have learned. I love biology and studied “Campbell Biology” in the summer of 2022, and I am taking two biology extracurriculars this year. I have mastered many computer programming languages including Java, Python, Lua, and JavaScript. I built an iOS App in the sixth grade, and this past summer, I developed a standalone online game after I taught myself Lua programming language. I enjoy reading or listening to audiobooks, such as Big Red, the Harry Potter Series, Island of the Blue Dolphins, the Rick Riordan books, and the autobiography of Hellen Keller.

In my leisure time I like to play piano, practice Hip Hop dance, paint and draw. I enjoy a lot of sports including basketball, ice skating, table tennis, swimming and surfing. However, my favorite sport is badminton, and I have been professionally trained for four years.

I enjoyed the time with my after-school community service clubs. As an ESL coach of Bright Future for All, I composed the teaching scripts and taught beginner-level ESL students. As the treasurer of Builder's Club, I managed the finances of the club and coordinated the volunteering work such as gardening, cleaning up parks, and making blankets for the homeless.
